ARTHUR SEYMOUR
SULLIVAN
(1842 - 1900)
COMPOSER

The
special charisma of Gilbert and Sullivan's partnership brought about
the
production of many charming operettas. However, their collaboration
came
to a temporary end when Gilbert became acutely aware of Sullivan's
homosexuality.
Unsuccessful individually, they resolved their differences
and
continued to create beautiful musical works.
