Statue of General
Gordon on a camel.
First
Flight Airmail cover, Khartoum to Cape Town, backstamped, 22 December 1931.
Gordon
was a religious zealot, "directed by God" to feed, bathe, and
house
destitute young boys. In point of fact, this was his manner for
relief
of guilt-ridden homosexual feelings.
