Saadi wrote poems in praise of the love of young men.

These charming works had been altered by translators

into paeans to young maidens. At his death, Saadi left

   his entire fortune to the young men with whom he lived.

 

Saadi depicted on 40 kopeck value. Registered at Balvi,

Soviet Socialist Republic of Latvia, backstamped Marcy, NY, 22 May 1959.
