GEORGIA O'KEEFFE
(1887 - 1986)
ARTIST
A marriage of convenience to Alfred Stieglitz was the perfect cover for Georgia O'Keeffe. She preferred the love of Sappho and had many lesbian relationships throughout her life. Cherishing her privacy, she isolated herself in the remote New Mexico desert. There she was free to indulge in the explicit eroticism of her sexually charged paintings.
