ROBERT BADEN - POWELL

(1857 - 1941)

SOLDIER - BOY SCOUT FOUNDER

Lord Baden - Powell became physically ill when sharing a bedroom with his wife.

The founder of the Boy Scouts made repeated inspections visits to A. H. Tod's scout troop.

Baden Powell was particularly fascinated with Tod's album of  'figure studies' [nude photos

of the scouts]. By the mid-1960s these albums, part of the 'Charterhouse Library Collection,'

were deliberately destroyed.
