ROGER CASEMENT
(1864 - 1916)
IRISH PATRIOT
Roger Casement took up the cause of Irish nationalism.
He was convicted of treason and sentenced to be hanged.
The U. S. Senate adopted a resolution in favor of his reprieve.
President Wilson, informed of the discovery of
Casement's diaries, which recorded numerous
homosexual encounters, did not convey the
resolution to Great Britain.
